Automatic In-Line Spunding Valve
This device will control keg pressure by venting gas when the pressure goes beyond the setting the gauge is set to. It is an easy way to automatically release unwanted excess pressure from a keg. The gas supply from your CO2 regulator is opened to set the desired pressure then closed off and disconnected.
Setting up the Valve
The proper connection is that the port labeled "L" is the gas line in. (the arrow shows direction of the gas flow direction.). The opposite port is out to the keg.
To properly adjust the psi for the desired keg pressure:
- Open the gas line.
- Adjust the valve to about 10 psi over the desired setting. (the pressure gauge is graduated in 5 psi increments).
- Close off the gas flow valve using the 1/4 turn valve on the Spunding valve.
- Slowly reduce the psi using the knob on the valve until the desired psi is indicated on the gauge and the valve stops venting.
